Friends of Hollydale
Who are the are the Friends of Hollydale?
Friends of Hollydale (FoH) is the name given to our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) here at Hollydale school. Every parent, guardian, teacher or carer of a child at Hollydale school is automatically a member of Friends of Hollydale.
Why are we here?
Our main aim is to raise funds to purchase items that would otherwise fall outside the school’s budget. For example, we have been able to provide every classroom with a selection of board games that can be used during wet play. Friends of Hollydale also provides an informal social network for parents. We are a friendly bunch – so if you want to get to know more parents within the school, please do consider joining us!
How does it work?
Friends of Hollydale is currently run by a core of volunteers who regularly attend meetings and help organise events such as cake sales, the Winter Fair, the school discos and our much enjoyed Summer and International Evenings. We have an elected committee of officers; however, everyone is free to contribute as little or as much as they like, as infrequently or as often as they like.
Current parent volunteers are: Emilienne Houessou (Chair), Corinne Lewis (Vice Chair), Salma Rahman (Senior Researcher) and Kelly (Finance). Our family support worker, Kathleen Costello, also supports the Friends of Hollydale.
